The less intimate we are, the less I care about him specifically, but also life in general. He can't see it happening due to willful blindness, but I've let go of him as a lover and a partner and I doubt that ever comes back. Too much damage has been done. It's not the scariest part to me though, the scariest part for me is not being able to leave when I want to how I want to because I know the shit storm he'll put me through in the process.
