   One of my major cracks in my testimony was when we sent our son on a mission. He was the first to go in my family since my parents were converts. My husband also had not served a mission. When things started to go wrong, I was shocked at the level of control the church was asserting over us as parents. And the ridiculous level of control the MP was asserting over my son. Then, when NO ONE in local leadership or the ward would entertain the tiniest criticism about what was going on I knew something was up. I went down the rabbit hole from there. Our son got out of his mission, aka escaped, and hes been a bad ass since then. Im now a pissed off mama bear. The church should have never messed with my kid.
